The Challenge
155 Media Studios needed a complete broadcast facility built from scratch in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. The studio had to support continuous 24/7 live broadcasting with zero tolerance for downtime, requiring a fully redundant architecture across all systems.
The Solution
I designed and deployed the complete studio architecture from the ground up, covering every aspect from IT networking and multi-camera video to lighting and audio infrastructure.
Key Technical Deliverables
- Network Architecture: Designed segmented VLAN infrastructure for isolated video, audio, control, and management networks with fiber backbone connectivity.
- Video Systems: Deployed vMix-based production workflow with NDI transport, Blackmagic ATEM switchers for backup, and automated PTZ camera control systems.
- Redundancy: Engineered dual-path signal routing with automatic failover for all critical broadcast paths, ensuring 24/7 uptime.
- Graphics Integration: Built real-time graphics pipeline with automated data feeds for live scores, tickers, and dynamic overlays.
- Monitoring: Implemented comprehensive multiviewer and signal monitoring across all production and transmission chains.
